Maquette Museum
Museo dei Bozzetti
by Stanley Bleifeld

This unique collection of plaster sculpture in the city of Pietrasanta, Italy, is one of the richest resources available for the study of the process of creation and fabrication of sculpture. The Museo dei Bozzetti houses examples of sculpture in its primary stages: original plaster casts or original creations in plaster, many with visible pantograph points, in preparation for further casting or translating into other materials such as marble and bronze.
