The Horace Smith Collection of Plaster Casts

The George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum opened to the citizens of Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1896. The museum, modeled after an Italian palazzo, houses the large decorative arts collection of George Walter Vincent Smith (1832–1923) and his wife, Belle Townsley (1845–1928).
