Marcel Jovine
(1921–2003)

Marcel Jovine was an international personality. Born in Naples, Italy, on July 29, 1921, he liked to draw and model as a child. During World War II, he was a cadet in the military academy in Turin, where he also created architectural and mechanical drawings. He was sent to fight in the north Africa, where he was captured by the Allied forces. Then, as a prisoner of war, he was sent to a detention center in western Pennsylvania, where he continued sketching and creating small sculptures. . . .
